Enjoy Afternoon Tea at One Aldwych, London’s latest afternoon tea experience, taking place in the smart and stylish Indigo restaurant within the One Aldwych Hotel just off The Strand. The quintessentially British celebration of Afternoon Tea is always a big favourite and One Aldwych is a fine example. Tea is held in the hotels relaxed and informal yet beautifully stylish Indigo restaurant where surroundings are smart and contemporary complete with comfortable armchair style seating, perfectly dressed white linen topped tables and stunning flower arrangements. Executive Chef Tony Fleming and his team have created the perfect British Afternoon Tea where guests are able to choose between sweet or savoury. The sweet option features first class freshly baked Scottish drop scones with berry compote and clotted cream as well as Eton Mess, bitter chocolate tart and carrot cake amongst others. As for the savoury, indulge in quail’s eggs and Welsh rarebit. Both offer a range of delicate finger sandwiches which include fillings such as roast beef and horseradish on caramelised onion bread or smoked salmon and cream cheese on granary bread. All this served with some of the world’s finest teas. Add a touch of luxury to the proceedings and enjoy a glass of Louis Roederer champagne. The One Aldwych Afternoon Tea is currently only available on Saturdays and accepts a maximum of 4 guests per reservation.
