Afternoon Tea at The Halkin in London’s Belgravia promises to be a very special experience indeed with the launch of the fabulous “Couture Chocolate Afternoon Tea”, exclusively created by William Curley, winner of “Britain’s Best Chocolatier” from 2007-2011. A five star establishment found in the heart of Belgravia, The Halkin is a splendid hotel, offering a timeless elegance and poised service and is currently enjoying its 20th anniversary. Afternoon Tea is held in the stylish Halkin Bar, and as part of the celebrations, it has been transformed into a pop up “Culture Lounge”, showcasing some of the most iconic coffee table books, meaning that guests can browse whilst enjoying their afternoon tea. The “Couture Chocolate Afternoon Tea” is an exquisite example of our quintessential English tradition, featuring a wonderful selection of delicate finger sandwiches filled with the likes of Scottish smoked salmon with salmon caviar and crème fraiche or poached corn fed chicken breast with watercress followed by freshly made petit scones with clotted cream and preserves. But the piece de resistance has to be the award winning William Curley’s sublime sweets including chocolate financier with passion fruit curd, orange and chocolate sacher, sea salt caramel and raspberry tart, black forest dome and chocolate macaroons. A wide choice of fine loose teas provides the liquid refreshment and if you want to add a touch of extra luxury, why not enjoy a glass of champagne too?
