After the massive success of their Afternoon Tea sittings in 2011, London’s iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground have announced further dates for 2012. Afternoon Tea takes place in the historic and beautiful Lord’s Long Room in the stunning Pavilion with its outstanding views over the ground and the architecturally significant and award winning J.P. Morgan Media Centre. This grand setting has a very British air with a string quartet providing a musical touch. Traditional Afternoon Tea costs just £38 and includes a grand tour of the famous ground as well as a selection of finger sandwiches filled with the likes of Scottish smoked salmon with lemon and black pepper or smoked Wiltshire ham with mustard mayo followed by home baked scones, jam and Cornish clotted cream and cakes and dainties from Lord’s very own patissier Thierry Besselievre. The finest leaf teas accompany such delights and for £47 you can also enjoy a glass of fine champagne. Afternoon Tea at Lord’s is a very special example of our quintessential British tradition and is not only a must for all cricket fans but a must for all fans of afternoon tea.

Customer reviews for Afternoon Tea at Lord's Cricket Ground

27 Feb 12

A simply superb Afternoon Tea in London, wonderfully refined and steeped in history. From the moment you are greeted at the door, you are made to feel special and once you enter the splendid Long Room, with its views across the grounds, you know that this is no ordinary afternoon tea. The orchestra added a really special touch and the food was impeccable in every way. The tour of the grounds after tea was really interesting, even for those who are not fans of cricket, where you are shown the English side's dressing room and the original Ashes trophy. This is afternoon tea at its refined and very British best!
