Champagne, traditional and even the Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea is enjoyed at the excellent Chiswell Street Dining Rooms

 

Indulge in a sumptuous Afternoon Tea at the Chiswell Street Dining Rooms in the heart of the City of London. The wonderfully stylish Chiswell Street Dining Rooms is the latest venture from Tom & Ed Martin of The Gun in Docklands and The Botanist in Sloane Square and is ideally located on the corner of Chiswell Street, close to both Moorgate and Barbican underground stations. Housed in the former Whitbread Brewery, the space has been transformed into a stunning restaurant decked out in a colour palette of green, cream and gold with luxurious banquettes and stylish leather tub chairs. Afternoon Tea is a fabulous affair and there are various menus to choose from. The Traditional Afternoon Tea menu offers an assortment of finger sandwiches, homemade scones with Preston hall jams and Devonshire clotted cream and a selection of sweets and cakes accompanied by a pot of Jing tea. Or for a touch of luxury why not go for the Champagne Afternoon Tea which also includes a glass of Joseph Perrier champagne. The Tea –Tox Afternoon Tea is a lighter version featuring crudités, Severn & Wye smoked salmon, bran muffin and a seeded granola bar and with its City of London location in mind, the Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea featuring Welsh rarebit and buttered toast with Patum Peperium Relish is a treat for City gents. Afternoon Tea at the Chiswell Street Dining Rooms is a glorious afternoon retreat in the city.
