Created back in 1978, it was the very first luxury boutique hotel in the world and was the brainchild of famous designer Anouska Hempel. The hotel attracts many famous faces who adore the place not just for its ultra chic design but for its superb discretion. Afternoon Tea at Blake’s Hotel is served in both the stunning Chinese Room, a fabulous space with sumptuous seating and striking Chinese artefacts and in the fabulous Japanese Garden, a tranquil oasis. Enjoy delicious finger sandwiches filled with beef and chilli horseradish, smoked salmon, egg and cress and chicken and chilli, all served in a pretty glass box followed by freshly baked scones with fresh strawberries and Chantilly cream. Homemade cakes such as chocolate fudge will ensure you are pampered to the maximum. The teas are outstanding and served in the most delicate of china. This is afternoon tea of the highest order and one of pure luxury.
