Situated in the luxurious Lanesborough Hotel in Knightsbridge, Afternoon Tea at Apsley’s is one of London’s top afternoon tea experiences. The Lanesborough Hotel is a splendid 5 star hotel found in exclusive Knightsbridge, close to Harrods and Harvey Nicols, and dates back to 1828. The new Apsley’s conservatory restaurant plays host to afternoon tea and is a plush Venetian inspired setting complete with beautifully upholstered sofas, impressive modern chandeliers and immaculately dressed tables. The traditional afternoon tea offers a fine selection of cakes, pastries, finger sandwiches and freshly baked scones with clotted cream and strawberry preserve and if you fancy adding a little luxury to the proceedings why not go for the Belgravia Tea which includes fresh strawberries and a glass of champagne. If you’re not sure which tea to choose then Karl Kessab, England’s first tea sommelier is on hand to assist. It comes as no surprise that Afternoon Tea at Apsley’s was named Best Afternoon Tea in London in 2008.
